My name is Mark Curtis and Sign of my Time is my business. Our shop is located in Orleans, MA on Cape Cod in a post and beam barn I built a few years ago. I outfitted the main floor with workbenches, every saw you can think of, and various workspaces for differing woodworking tasks.
It’s ideally suited for this business and every day I look forward to creating your signs. I am personally involved in the manufacturing of your sign every step of the way, ensuring we are meeting your specifications and giving approval to ship on final inspection. I won’t let it leave here until I believe you’ll be happy with it.
Over the past 35 years or so, I have cultivated my passion for woodworking and the outdoors into this business. Initially as a hobby I took on projects for my family and friends for our homes and businesses that included everything from built-in cabinets, dining room tables, desks and yes, the occasional sign. I loved it all but as I grew older, I found myself gravitating toward making carved signs exclusively and encouraged by those same family and friends, I took their advice and started this business.
It was great advice that I should have taken years earlier!
